Submission Guidelines

  • Each essay must be written by a TMCC student for a TMCC class assignment occurring in either the Fall 2012 or the Spring 2013 semester. (Personal pieces will not be allowed.)
  • The essay must meet the requirements of the assignment and must be submitted along with the assignment sheet.
  • Blind judging to be done by faculty, staff, deans, and administrators in all departments.
  • Prizes: First Prize - one (1) three-credit class; Second Prize - $150; Third Prize - $100; Fourth Prize - $50.

Submission Details

  • Deadline: April 17, 2013.
  • Students must submit their essay electronically as well as their instructor's assignment sheet.
  • Multiple submissions are allowed as long as only one per category is submitted.
  • Winners will be announced May 3, 2013 by email and on our website and will be recognized and rewarded at the TMCC Student Awards Ceremony in May 2013.
