Writing Center

New: Information for 2012-2013 Essay Contest is available!

The TMCC Writing Center is a free tutoring service for students who want help at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to revising. Our peer tutors focus primarily on global issues, such as content, organization and tone, and with time permitting, they will cover local issues, including grammar, punctuation and mechanics.

To schedule an appointment with a writing tutor, select the "Schedule Free Tutoring" link once logged in to MyTMCC. Then select Writing Center from the drop-down menu. If you just need to brainstorm or have a paper that is less than three pages, you will only need a 30-minute appointment; for longer papers, please schedule a one-hour appointment.
