TMCC Website Policy for Online Photography
Format
All photographs will adhere to the TMCC quality standard, i.e., good composition, appropriate lighting, flattering images of students, faculty and staff, etc. The format should be a high quality JPEG, one to five MB in size. Web Services will shrink the size; the final size on the Web will be thumbnails under 75K in size.
Administrative Web Pages
---
The goal of placing photographs on administrative Web pages is to enhance the college's image; therefore informal snapshots on administrative Web pages of events, faculty and staff will be closely scrutinized prior to Web use. The final determination for the use of photographs on administrative Web pages will be made by the public information office and/or application development's Web Services unit.
Faculty Web Pages
Please note: faculty are encouraged to follow these Web pages policies, but are not required to do so.
All Web Pages
All college members are required by the FERPA regulations for student privacy to obtain the student's permission for disclosure prior to online or printed publication of his/her photograph or likeness. Please print the student release form and ask your students to sign the form. Signed forms should be returned to PIO for archiving.
