Nevada Ghost and Paranormal Conference
Learn how to investigate the paranormal, then put those skills to the test during an evening ghost hunt at the Cal Neva Lodge, Lake Tahoe
The Nevada Ghost and Paranormal Conference, set for Saturday, Oct. 18, gives you the unique opportunity to listen to some of the region's top paranormal experts and then implement what you've learned during small group investigations at the Cal Neva Resort at Crystal Bay (Lake Tahoe), Nevada.
Lodge employees and ghost investigators tell tales of hauntings by the Shaman (the Washoe indians were believed to summer here on their ancestral land), former owner Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe who attempted suicide here just weeks before she died. Last fall, KTVN—accompanied by TMCC's 2007 ghost conference speakers—conducted a journalistic investigation into paranormal activities at the site. Amazingly enough, the group saw a television remote levitate in Frank Sinatra's cabin and captured voices through electronic voice phenomena that are believed to be Sinatra and Monroe.
Decide for yourself if the Cal Neva is haunted. Learn how to investigate the paranormal during afternoon lectures at the resort, then, if you wish, sign up to assist with small group investigations in Frank and Marilyn's cabins, the showroom and the tunnels which wind underneath the property.
Learn from the best! This year's speakers include
- Anne and Sharon Leong, co-directors of imaging and technology for the San Francisco Ghost Society,
- Vickie Gay, who works with the FBI and police departments, scored so highly on the NSAC mediumship certification exam it places her among the nation's most gifted mediums,
- Janice Oberding, ghost researcher/author/historian who has extensive experience with investigations at the Cal Neva Lodge, and
- KTVN anchor/reporter Bill Brown, who initiated an in-depth journalistic investigation of Nevada paranormal sites the fall of 2007.
