Radiological Technology Coordinator

Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for a Radiological Technology Coordinator.

Description

The Radiologic Technology Coordinator is responsible to the Dean of the Sciences Division for management of the Radiologic Technology Program and the promotion and operation of all functions related to the program. These duties are conducted in collaboration and coordination with program faculty.

Scope of Work

This position will serve during the 2014-15 academic term.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  1. Assist in the academic advisement, recruitment and placement of assigned students, evaluation of transcript credit, and recommend course substitutions as required with input from program faculty.
  2. Foster communication, coordinate and ensure current course syllabi adhere to Truckee Meadows Community College standards.
  3. Ensure that courses within the Radiologic Technology Program meet ARRT standards.
  4. In collaboration with program faculty recommend textbooks, equipment, facilities, technology and instructional materials.
  5. Ensure good lab procedures are followed.
  6. Monitor equipment and report repair and replacement needs.
  7. Assist and make recommendations for the hiring and evaluation of temporary adjunct faculty.
  8. Recommend advisory board members and assist with meeting coordination with input from program faculty.
  9. Identify efficiencies and makes course schedule recommendations based on input from program faculty.
  10. Ensure program promotional materials are current and relevant (as applicable).
  11. Develop program assessments, program reviews and provide input for program planning and execution with input from program faculty.
  12. Ensure College policies and procedures are followed.
  13. Communicate information to all full and part-time faculty in a timely manner.
  14. Appropriately manage timelines, submit information and complete tasks by established deadlines.
  15. Supervises the clinical coordinator of the Radiological Technology Program.

Qualifications

The Coordinator must be a licensed Radiologic Technologist and meet the qualifications to teach in the Radiology program.

Compensation

The Coordinator will receive a B+30 contract for the 2014-15 school year. A three-credit release per semester (Fall and Spring) is included.

Reports To

Dean of Sciences.

Application Process

Interested faculty will submit a letter of interest describing special qualifications and background information no later than 5 p.m. on May 30, 2014. The letter should be addressed to the Dean of Sciences. Note: Administrative faculty must include a documented plan for separation of the additional assignment work from regular work time.

Selection Process

The Dean will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before June 6, 2014.
