Quality Matters Coordinator

Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for a Quality Matters (QM) Coordinator.

This position will focus on implementing Quality Matters (QM) into the online courses.

  • (1) Provide QM training for faculty in Fall 2014 Semester and Spring 2015 Semester.
  • (2) Assist in the review process of 10 courses either directly through QM or through the state consortium to be certified by the end of Spring 2015 Semester.

Scope of Work

The QM Coordinator position serves during the 2014-15 academic term.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  1. Provide QM training to faculty.
  2. Assist in the review process of 10 courses: ANTH102, ENG101, ENG102, HDFS201, HDFS 232, IS101, MATH120, PSY101, SPAN111, SPAN112 or other classes by request.
  3. Develop a shared relationship of QM peer reviewers and subject matter experts with WNC, GBC, and SCS for internal and external course reviews.
  4. Maintain accurate spreadsheet of certified QM faculty to be reported to Coordinator.
  5. Develop content for a QM Web page to be linked to the WebCollege Web page.
  6. Obtain Master Reviewer certification through QM.
  7. Obtain face-to-face certification through QM.


QM Certified Peer Reviewer, QM Face to Face Facilitator (FFC) and QM Online Facilitator (OFC).


$2,325 stipend per semester for Fall 14 and Spring 15. 

Reports To

WebCollege Coordinator.

Application Process

Interested faculty will submit a letter of interest describing special qualifications and background information no later than 5 p.m. on Aug. 22, 2014. The letter should be addressed to the WebCollege Coordinator. Note: Administrative faculty must include a documented plan for separation of the additional assignment work from regular work time.

The WebCollege Coordinator will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before Aug. 29, 2014.
