Student Learning Outcomes and Assessment SLOA) Committee

The Student Learning Outcomes and Assessment (SLOA) committee is supported by the office of the vice president for academic affairs and student services. The SLOA committee was formed to finalize the work initiated by the Institutional Assessment Committee (1999-2004). The evolution of the committee, as well as a list of committee charges and the membership of the committee, may be found in Chapter II, Part 1 of the General Education Learning Outcomes and Assessment Handbook.
Current SLOA Committee membership is as follows:
- One teaching faculty representative from each school or school:
- Liberal Arts—Nancy Faires
- Sciences—Nevin Nyswonger
- Business and Entrepreneurship—Melanie Lawler
- Workforce Development and Continuing Education—Debby Richter
- SLOA Coordinator—Bridgett Boulton, English
- One representative from Institutional Research—Jason Oetjen, research analyst, institutional research
- One representative from Student Services—Anthony Williams, associate dean of student support services
- One Academic Dean—Armida Fruzzetti, acting dean of the school of Liberal Arts
- Representatives from Faculty Senate Curriculum and Academic Standards Committees
- Academic Standards–Crystal Swank
- Curriculum—Lance Bowen
- Faculty Senate Chair serves as an Ex-officio member—Scott Huber
