Calculator Rental Program

Need a calculator for class but don't want to spend big bucks? Rent one from us! The cost is $20 for the entire semester. We have TI-83 calculators, recommended by the TMCC math department. Rental is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To rent a calculator

  1. Fill out a rental form in The Tutoring and Learning Center. If you have any questions, please contact The Tutoring and Learning Center.
  2. Cost is $20. We accept cash or checks.
  3. Failure to return calculator on time will result in a late fee and the withholding of both grades and transcripts and the loss of the ability to register for other classes.

When can I rent a calculator?

Calculators can be rented during our normal operating hours on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, starting the first day of instruction.

How do I use this thing?

The Tutoring and Learning Center offers instruction manuals, calculator workshops and videos to help you understand and effectively use your new calculator. Ask at the front desk to receive a free 'short' instruction sheet manual or to check out videos for use in The Tutoring and Learning Center.

How do I return the calculator?

Bring your TI-83 into The Tutoring and Learning Center (Vista B106). Calculators can be returned during normal hours of The Tutoring and Learning Center.
