ACCUPLACER: LOEP (Levels of English Proficiency)

The Levels of English Proficiency Test (LOEP) assesses the English skills of students who have learned English as a second language or who are native English speakers with limited proficiency.

Currently TMCC is using the LOEP Reading Skills sub-test, which measures your skills in reading English through assessing your comprehension of short passages.

You will be given 20 questions.

Sample Question

My cousin lived in the city from 1984 to 1989. When did my cousin live in the city?

1. After 1989
2. Before 1984
3. Between 1984 and 1989
4. Neither in 1984 nor in 1989

The correct answer is C, between 1984 and 1989. My cousin lived in the city between 1984 and 1989.
