College Tech Prep

If you are a high school student, you can earn college credit when you enroll in and successfully complete a Tech Prep articulated course. You will save money and time by participating in this program. You do not have to pay fees for college credits in Tech Prep classes, and you do not have to repeat the same course when you enroll in college.

Tech Prep approved courses are high school classes taught to high school students at the high schools by high school teachers. The courses are offered at all WCSD comprehensive high schools, Academy of Arts, Career and Technology, ACE Charter High School, I Can Do Anything Charter High School, Carson City High School, Plumas County/Quincy High School, Battle Mountain High School and Sierra Nevada Job Corps.

To earn college credit, you must complete a TMCC Tech Prep application for admission and earn an "A" or "B" in your class by completing the course competencies.
