Course Notes: THIS IS THE A+ COURSE. IT REPLACES CIT 110, A+ SOFTWARE AND CIT 111, A+ HARDWARE. THIS COURSE WILL PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE A+ ESSENTIAL EXAM AND ELECTIVE EXAM COVERING HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, SOME ELEMENTS OF SECURITY, SOFT SKILLS, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. Description: This course is a comprehensive overview of the primary operating systems and the support of hardware devices. The class will also demonstrate the integration between hardware and software. Emphasis is on installing, configuring, troubleshooting and upgrading a PC and working with computer users as an IT technician.

This course might not transfer to a baccalaureate degree of art or science within the universities in the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE). If you plan to pursue a four-year degree, check with the institution where you intend to transfer to learn whether this course will count toward the degree you intend to seek.
