Leadership Fellows Program

TMCC Dandini Campus

The TMCC Leadership Fellows Program (LFP) is a small-group, seven-month series (seven 4-hour, Friday afternoon sessions) providing participants with a focused study of leadership in higher education.

The Leadership Fellows Program Committee will accept applications from March 7–31, 2024. Classified, Administrative and Academic Professional employees with two or more years of full-time employment with TMCC may apply.

A diverse group of eight to ten individuals from across the college will be invited to participate in the 2024-25 LFP Cohort, which begins in September 2024. Full details are available by contacting the Professional Development Office.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Participants will use assessments to identify their leadership style and will understand the unique advantages and challenges of those styles as they relate to leading a team.
  2. Participants will receive an overview of community colleges: the populations they serve, decision-making processes, and insights from key departments like Human Resources, Legal, Diversity Equity, and Inclusion, all within the framework of leadership in higher education.
  3. Participants will receive training on the Be-Do-Have model as a foundation for developing personal leadership philosophies.
  4. Participants will be empowered with team leadership training, learning essential strategies and skills for successful teamwork.
  5. Participants will hear the personal stories of TMCC Leadership regarding specific leadership concepts.
