The Center for Teaching and Learning supports full- and part-time faculty in the enhancement of student learning. It is the goal of the center to provide professional development activities that enhance teaching as a profession; helping to fine tune skills and introduce state-of-the-art learning theories and strategies. The center strives to meet these goals through a variety of workshops and programs based on faculty input, utilizing inside experts as well as local and nationally known speakers.

  • Meeting area — hold departmental meetings here with your part-time faculty or host an interdepartmental social.
  • Getting Results — Whether you are a new or experienced teacher, you have a chance to make an impact on the future of the country. How can you be as effective as possible? This multimedia resource for community college faculty will challenge your previous thinking about teaching and learning and give you the basic tools for effective classroom practice. The key theme of the course is to encourage you to focus on what the students will do and take responsibility for their success.
