Planning and Budget Council
Planning and Budget Council
Dr. Philip Ringle, former TMCC president, charged the planning and budget council to address issues facing the college and creating a document that outlines the goals and processes necessary to meet those challenges. The council, in collaboration with the college community, established a college mission statement as well as goals for the following seven initiatives: achieving academic excellence, diversity, facilities, finance and institutional effectiveness, strategic partnerships, technology and a welcoming and supportive environment.
Because planning is a continuous process, the council will review, revise and update the plan as goals are achieved. This is a college-wide endeavor including faculty, students, staff, alumni and members of the community. The council encourages everyone to voice their recommendations and concerns. In addition, during 2004-05, the planning council served as the steering committee for the TMCC self-study effort. The council welcomes the college community's suggestions and comments.
