Many services are available to employers who wish to hire, post job openings and participate in recruiting activities. Employers are also offered opportunities to participate in workshops and scheduled recruiting/interview sessions. To participate in TMCC's many events, employers may request access.

A free job posting service is available to employers for assistance in seeking qualified employees or interns. TMCC's employer services provide opportunities to build strong relationships and fulfill the needs and demands of the business community.

Recruiting

TMCC's Placement Services provides several services through which employers can attract and hire students. If you wish to interview or recruit on-campus, please contact placement services to schedule a convenient recruiting date, arrange on-campus interviews or set up on-campus presentations.

Each year from March 1 to April 30, TMCC offers an online virtual career fair. This convenient job search method is available to students and alumni who are seeking employment. They can go online to review employer information and job opportunities.

The virtual career fair is a convenient employment and recruitment method for employers to post positions. The online virtual career fair is a cost-effective way for employers to be in contact with Truckee Meadows Community College's diverse and talented students and alumni.

Career Fairs

Students, alumni and the community have the opportunity to seek employment at three different career fairs involving TMCC. Career fairs are a great opportunity to educate participants about employer organizations and hiring needs; employers have the opportunity to gather resumes from interested candidates. Nothing beats that face-to-face interaction to determine suitability for open positions.

Careerbuilder Nevada Job Fair

Imagine an event that puts employers and job seekers together in the same place, on the same day, add useful career workshops and Careerbuilder Nevada Job Fair comes to mind. This opportunity is an efficient way to seek employment as well as find available resources to enhance your job search.

Careerbuilder Nevada Job Fair is slated twice a year in the spring and fall. The one-day event is sponsored by Truckee Meadows Community College, the Reno Gazette-Journal, Education Collaborative (Washoe County School District), University of Nevada Reno, and Western Nevada Community College.

Virtual Career Fair

Participate in the Truckee Meadows Community College online Virtual Career Fair during the months of March and April each year. It's free!

Our virtual career fair is facilitated through Web pages and e-mail. It is a useful recruitment method for employers who have a limited amount of time and finances to allocate to employee recruitment. The fair is also a convenient way to make contact with diverse and talented students and alumni of Truckee Meadows Community College who are seeking employment.

Grad Fair/Job Fair

Truckee Meadows Community College sponsors an on-campus job fair for all students, particularly those students who plan to graduate each spring. Employers are invited to participate in the job fair to recruit for open positions with their organizations.

As part of the Grad and Job Fair activities, recruiters are always invited from the University of Nevada, Reno; the University of Nevada Las Vegas; Great Basin Community College; Sierra Nevada College; the University of Phoenix, the Truckee Meadows Community College Alumni Association and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society to meet our students and alumni.

Workshops

TMCC's Placement Services offers a variety of career planning and job search workshops throughout the year. The workshops are open to students, alumni and the community.

Employers are invited to make presentations at a TMCC campus or education center. The presentations are a good way to meet students interested in their organization. Employers can host an informal class about their organization and its employment opportunities.
