In the paralegal/law program, you can obtain a guided, practical internship in a practice area of interest. We highly recommend the internship, because it gives you the opportunity to gain practical experience before graduation.

On-the-job activities include setting learning outcomes, keeping a work log, drafting a resume, and writing a final project. Throughout the term of the internship, you would have contact with a full-time faculty member to ensure that the internship experience is beneficial for everyone. You may choose from an extensive list of internship opportunities through the department or seek your own internship site pending department approval. Past placements have included not only large and small law office settings, but government agencies, the courts, and the District Attorney's office.
