Upon successful completion of all program requirements, the student will receive a "Statement of Verification" which documents eligibility for the Registration Examination for Dietetic Technician. This examination is administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Satisfactory completion of the examination provides for National Registration as a Dietetic Technician, Registered.

To proceed with the examination, all graduates will meet with the Dietetic Tech Program Coordinator for an exit interview.

Accreditation

Truckee Meadows Community College is fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. The dietetic technician program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the United States Department of Education.
