College transition course info for non-native English speakers
If you are a non-native English speaker who is interested in attending academic, college-credit classes at TMCC, our free, non-credit College Transition Class 101 is for you. The course will help students adjust to the college environment and the learning process, and will address the development of personal and academic skills necessary for educational success. With this class, you will gain the confidence in English to achieve your goals.
To participate, you must be enrolled in the TMCC ABE/ESL program, and you should be interested in pursuing a career in the U.S.
The class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from Jan. 28 - May 22, with two class times/locations available: TMCC Meadowood Campus (1-3 p.m.) or TMCC Dandini Campus (7-9 p.m.) Participants will need to attend an orientation prior to classes:
- Meadowood Campus/daytime class orientation: Thursday, Jan. 24, 12 p.m. (5270 Neil Rd., Room 203)
- Dandini Campus/evening class orientation: Thursday, Jan. 24, 7 p.m. (7000 Dandini Blvd., Red Mountain Building, Room 311)
