TMCC Holiday Food Drive

TMCC is collecting non-perishable food items to support the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN) and KTVN Channel 2's "Share Your Christmas Food Drive." The food collected helps the FBNN feed the less fortunate families in our community. Barrels have been put at all TMCC sites and monetary donations are also welcome. Please makes checks payable to FFBN and send via inter campus mail to Scott Alquist, MS, EDSN 102.

TMCC will be bringing the donations to KTVN Channel 2's "Share Your Christmas Food Drive" on Friday, Dec. 14. 

Although all non-perishable items are accepted, some suggestions from the Food Bank include:

  • Canned meats
  • Canned Fish
  • Peanut Butter
  • Macaroni & cheese and pasta meals
  • Powdered milk, baby formula and baby food
  • Complete meals in a can such as stew, chili, ravioli and hearty soups
  • Canned fruits, juice and vegetables
  • Dry cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Rice
  • Pasta

Barrel locations are:

  • Dandini Campus - student center lower level near welcome center
  • Dandini Campus - student center upper level near cafeteria
  • SIER - library and lobby
  • Childcare center - lobby
  • IGT Applied Technology Center (EDSN) lobby
  • Meadowood Center (lobby)
  • High Tech Center at Redfield (lobby)
