Legacy of Valor event honors military service - Sept. 17-21

A display highlighting the contributions of military service by Americans of Hispanic descent and those who have received the Congressional Medal of Honor will be featured in the V. James Eardley Student Center at the Dandini Campus from Monday, Sept. 17 through Friday, Sept. 21. Legacy of Valor will celebrate the opening of the display on Sept. 17 from 11:00-noon with special guests including Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient Rudy Hernandez, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, President of the Nevada Military Support Alliance Perry Di Loreto, Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, and TMCC President Dr. Maria Sheehan. A closing reception and recognition of local heroes will take place on Sept. 21 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. with guests including Rick Leal, President of the National Hispanic Medal of Honor Society.
