Student Financial Literacy Program Meeting, April 25

Posted: Apr 24, 2013

The new TMCC Financial Literacy Program will be run by students, for students. Financial literacy is a set of skills and knowledge that help a person make better financial decisions. An informational meeting with refreshments will be held Thursday, April 25 from 10:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. in RDMT 255. The program will help students learn about, and exercise, concepts and principles of money. Issues to be considered will include paying for college, managing credit cards, knowing how to budget the money they make, getting and managing financial aid, and how and why they should control their spending. Candidates for the student guidance positions need basic math and financial knowledge. Contact Robert Kirchman for more information.
