TMCC’s Job Preparation Center presents two ways to assist students in getting a job this fall.
Students preparing to get a job can have an expert review their resume. Bring your best version of your resume to the Job Prep Center, RDMT 114, on Monday, Oct. 7 and Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and get advice to improve your resume. You’ll also learn tips on how to network and what to do after a job fair.
When your resume is ready, just dress for success, and bring that resume to the TMCC Job Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the V. James Eardley Student Center. Many local and regional employers will be available to chat with job seekers. Visit booths from Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, the State of Nevada, Wells Fargo Bank, West Communications, Urban Outfitters, Applied Staffing, Washoe County Sheriff’s Department, Vail Resorts and many others. There will also be raffle prizes for students who participate, with prizes to include t-shirts and gift cards.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with area employers to discuss their industry, as well as job opportunities,” said Sidney Sullivan, Manager of the Job Preparation Center.
