NSHE honors TMCC professor and student for outstanding achievements

Each year, the Nevada System of Higher Education’s (NSHE) Board of Regents recognizes outstanding individuals at various colleges and universities throughout Nevada. This year, Daniel Bouweraerts, graphic communications professor at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), was presented with the Regents’ Teaching Award for his outstanding instructional contributions. Bouweraerts was awarded a $5,000 stipend and a medal. Additionally, TMCC student Lisa Hoffman-Davis received the 2012 Regents’ Scholar Award along with $5,000 for her academic achievements, leadership ability and service contributions. Congratulations to Daniel Bouweraerts and Lisa Hoffman-Davis for their tremendous passion and dedication to educational success.
