Truckee Meadows Community College will hold a celebration program for students in the Success First Grant Initiative Summer Bridge Program on Thursday, Aug. 5, at the college’s Dandini Campus in the student center (7000 Dandini Blvd.). The event will feature both student and faculty speakers in addition to recognition events.
The summer bridge program was designed to give first-generation students a jump start on college by offering the opportunity to take two college courses and strengthen college readiness skills before entering the fall semester. Students must qualify for the program. More information on the program may be found online.
The Success First Grant Initiative Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Wells Fargo Bank and International Game Technology (IGT).
