Spring 2010 Performing Arts Season Announced

TMCC Announces Spring Performing Arts Schedule

The Truckee Meadows Community College performing arts department is pleased to announce the spring 2010 season with theater performances and music productions.

Theater Performances
The college will present the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with music by William Finn and based on the book by Rachel Sheinkin. Performance dates are: Feb. 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m., March 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 at 7:30 p.m., and March 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. at the TMCC Nell J. Redfield Foundation Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $17 general, $12 students and seniors, and $10 TMCC students and are available at www.Showtix4u.com or by calling 775-789-5671.

David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Glengarry Glen Ross will be performed with special permission directly from Mr. Mamet to TMCC. This production will feature two casts: One all men and one all women. In the final weekend there will be two mixed gender performances. Performance dates are April 23, 24, 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m., April 25 and May 2 at 2 p.m., and May 1, 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the TMCC Nell J. Redfield Foundation Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $12 general, $10 students and seniors and $8 TMCC students and are available at www.Showtix4u.com or by calling 775-789-5671.

Music Productions
The TMCC Concert Choir will perform on May 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the TMCC Nell J. Redfield Foundation Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and donations are welcome.

The TMCC Concert Band will perform on March 2 and May 4 at 7 p.m. at the Reno High School Booth Theater. Admission is free and donations are welcome.

The TMCC Nell J. Redfield Foundation Performing Arts Center (RPAC) is located at 505 Keystone Ave. in Reno. Tickets for performances will be sold at the door prior to each performance.
