TMCC Upgrades Its Web Site

Students asked for it and now it’s here—Truckee Meadows Community College has a new look and enhanced features on its Web site.

"The college invested in a substantial research project that asked prospective students, current students, and parents what they would prefer to see on TMCC’s site. The results of the research are a new look for the college and more services for students," said Paula Lee Hobson, director of the public information office.

The site offers subscriptions to RSS Feeds, videocasts featuring TMCC programs and events, and a virtual tour of the Dandini campus. "This project is not so much a complete redesign as it was a realignment of the existing site, building upon what works and what we’ve had proven success with and taking that to the next level," said Cal Anderson, TMCC Webmaster.

"The virtual tour allows students to look into classrooms, view photos and watch videos about degree programs and student services, and find out where everything is located on the main campus. The virtual tour is something prospective students said they wanted to see and it’s here," Hobson added.
