Under "links" are listed many online resources for the study of religion
  • Exploring Religions:
    Developed by the faculty at the University of Wyoming, this site offers information about the ideas, practices, and history of five major world religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism. Headings include Cosmos, Organization, Time and Worship, Text and Tales, Timeline, Religious Life, Glossary, Terms, Maps, Links, and Life Stages.
  • PBS Religion & Ethics News Weekly:
    Home page of the long-running PBS series. Under "featured sites" are listed many websites for religions and ethical organizations and topics
  • PEW Forum on Religion & Public Life:
    Seeks to promote a deeper understanding of issues at the intersection of religion and public affairs. Focusing on four specific areas (politics, law, domestic policy and foreign affairs) the PFRP website offers free access to news, survey data, transcripts and publications
  • Psychology of Religion Page:
    Maintained by a professor at Georgia Southern University, this searchable website offers resources about the psychological aspects of religious belief and behavior. Includes General Information and Essays, New Religious Movements, and Science and Religion. Extensive set of links to other Psychology and Religion sites
  • Religion and Law International Document Database:
    Hosted by the BYU International Center for Law and Religion Studies, this site provides searchable/browsable access to a comprehensive collection of freedom of religion laws from numerous countries and international organizations

    Profiles of more than two hundred Religious Movements, each offering basic demographic and background information, a summary of beliefs, discussion of controversial issues (when appropriate), links to important websites about each group, and select print bibliographies
  • Roundtable on Religions and Social Welfare Policy:
    Maintained by the Rockefeller Institute of Government and funded by the The Pew Charitable Trusts organization, The Roundtable on Religion & Social Welfare Policy was formed "to increase awareness among ... policy makers, religious and civic leaders, and the media, of the critical issues related to faith-based social service programs."   • Sojourners:
    Sojourners community began at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, in the early 1970s when a handful of students began meeting to discuss the relationship between their faith and political issues, particularly the Vietnam War. The current organization grew out of its descendent, the Sojourners Community of Columbia Heights (DC). The Sojourners website includes blogs, selected feature articles, discussion guides and an organizational directory

  • USC-MSA Compendium of Muslim Texts:

  • Buddhist Digital Library and Museum:
    This site operated by the Center for Buddhist Studies at the National Taiwan University contains a wealth of material including an extensive article database and links to various canonical texts. The site is available in both English and Chinese versions
  • Digital Dictionary of Buddhist Studies:
    Provides information about Buddhist technical terms, texts, monasteries, schools, traditions, and persons that appear in Buddhist canonical texts and other relevant sources. It has been compiled by experts in Buddhist studies
  • Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art
  • Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center:
    This site devoted to Tibetan Buddhism contains a searchable bibliography of classical Tibetan literature and a biographical database of Tibetan religious figures accompanied with good-quality images
