PC VPN and Faculty/Staff Portal Software Installation

This program will install the VPN and Faculty and Staff Portal software required to access information from TMCC remotely using a PC:

Pre-Setup/Software Requirements 
Important: Please read and understand this section before continuing to Setup Procedures.
If you are currently using the VPN software, but need to upgrade--do it now! (https://sag2.tmcc.edu)
The following software will only work with the following OS' and or conditions:
- Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista (see also: Mac Faculty and Staff VPN Instructions)
- To check what version of Windows you are running right click on My Computer from the Desktop or Start Menu, then click on Properties.
- You will need to uninstall any Citrix clients that may be on your computer before installing this VPN and Portal software.
- Uninstall Citrix Clients (2-programs)
- Click on Run when prompted.
- It will ask to reboot to finish uninstalling. When complete return to this web site.
- If you are using a Firewall software program, please make sure to unblock the VPN software or else the VPN will not function. Below are the instructions for the Microsoft built-in Firewall if you are using some other program the instructions may help but you may need to read the documentation that came with your program.
Setup Procedures 
(Print this page prior to commencing setup)
Step 1A: Installing the Citrix Clients
- Begin Installation of Citrix Clients!
- Leave the DOS window open as you will be using it later on
- Then you will get the license agreement; click yes if you agree to continue.
- The next screen will tell you setup was successful. Do not worry about the need to restart as that will be handled at the end of setup with a reboot.
- Click the OK button.
The web client is now installed. Continue to Step 1B
Step 1B: Installing Citrix VPN (Virtual Private Network).
This is needed to access files on the TMCC network.
- The first screen is the license agreement.
- Before clicking on the I Accept button, check behind the screen for your firewall program asking to block or unblock this program.
Below is a screenshot of the Microsoft Firewall program, click on Unblock. You may get up to 3 requests, click on Unblock for all.

- Before clicking on the I Accept button, check behind the screen for your firewall program asking to block or unblock this program.
- Then on the last screen please click on the red x in the upper right hand side as shown in the screenshot below.

Figure 4 - Your Computer will now reboot when the software is finished installing.
- After you computer reboots you will notice a new icon on your Desktop called Citrix Secure Access. See figure 5 below:

Launching VPN Client 
- Double clicking on the new Desktop icon (see figure 5) will launch your VPN client.
- You will get a logon screen (See Figure 4 above).
- You will need to put in your Network UserID in the Username field and your password, click on connect.
- When the VPN loads you can launch the My TMCC portal.
Important:
If you see a "0" after "Connect to:"(located at the bottom of the Citrix Secure Access Client window)
- Right-click on the Citrix Secure Access Client window for advanced options. The Advanced Options window appears (see figure 6 below).

- In the Access Gateway configuration Web address: box, type sag2.tmcc.edu:443.
- Under Connection settings:, check "Enable split DNS." (See figure 7 below)

- Click OK.
Other Downloads/Patches 
- Portal Fix/Path: If you are having problems with the Portal as in only seeing the PIO Web site, download the TMCC Portal Fix.
