PC VPN and Faculty/Staff Portal Software Installation

This program will install the VPN and Faculty and Staff Portal software required to access information from TMCC remotely using a PC:

Pre-Setup/Software Requirements 
Important: Please read and understand this section before continuing to Setup Procedures.
The following software will only work with the following OS' and or conditions:
- Windows XP SP2 or later 32 or 64 bit editions. You must use the 32 bit edition of Internet Explorer only. All other browsers not supported (see also: Mac Faculty and Staff VPN Instructions)
- You will need to uninstall any Citrix clients that may be on your computer before installing this VPN and Portal software.
- Uninstall Citrix Clients (2-programs)
- Click on Run when prompted.
- It will ask to reboot to finish uninstalling. When complete return to this web site.
- If you are using a Firewall software program, please make sure to unblock the VPN software or else the VPN will not function. Below are the instructions for the Microsoft built-in Firewall if you are using some other program the instructions may help but you may need to read the documentation that came with your program.
- Below is a screenshot of the Microsoft Firewall program (Figure 1), click on Unblock. You may get up to 3 requests, click on Unblock for all.

Setup Procedures

Step 1: Installing the Citrix Clients
- You will get prompted by User Account Control (UAC). You will need to click on Yes to allow to run
- Begin Installation of Citrix Clients!
- Click on OK to start the install.
- Leave the DOS window open.
- At the Citrix Access Gateway Plugin Setup screen, click on Install, then Finish.
- Your Computer will reboot
- To launch the VPN use either of these methods
- Double clicking on the new Desktop icon (see figure 2) will launch your VPN client.
- Click on the Start button, then move mouse to All Programs, Citrix, Citrix Access Clients, Click on Citrix Access Gateway icon.

- You will get a logon screen (see figure 3)

- You will need to put in your Network UserID in the User name field and your password, click on connect.
- When the VPN loads you can launch the My TMCC portal.
Important:
If you get a box that comes up (see figure 4) “Please enter a valid FQDN or IP address"

- Please type in sag2.tmcc.edu
- Then click on OK
Other Downloads/Patches 
- Portal Fix/Path: If you are having problems with the Portal as in only seeing the PIO Web site, download the TMCC Portal Fix.
