Minimum Printer Standards

Four types of printers are offered for use at TMCC (approved comparable substitutes are acceptable (links are to descriptions of these printers). Prices are approximate:

Campus-wide Use

Xerox Document Center printers. High quality, high speed, and high volume laser printer accessible from computer workstation and dispersed throughout every TMCC campus. Faxing and scanning capabilities. 40 pages per minute. Contact the Help Desk to request desktop connectivity.

Departmental/Computer Lab Use

HP LaserJet 4350 DTN. Network-ready monochrome laser jet printer. 1100 sheet paper tray capacity. 1200 dpi. 55 pages per minute with 96 MB memory. Approximately $1,991.00

Department/Computer Lab use (color)

HP Color LaserJet 3800 DN. Color laser jet printer. 350 sheets of paper capacity. 600dpi. 22 pages per minute with 288 MB memory. Approximately $1,110.00

Workgroup or High Quality Individual Use

HP JetDirect Box. For connecting printers to the network to allow printing from any TMCC networked computer. Approximately $200.00

HP LaserJet 3005 DN. Monochrome laser jet printer. 600 sheet paper tray capacity. 1200 dpi. 35 pages per minute black and white or color. 48MB memory. Approximately $839.00

HP LaserJet 3600 DN. Color laser jet printer. 350 sheet paper tray capacity. 600 dpi. 17 pages per minute black and white or color. 64MB memory. Approximately $818.00

Individual Use

HP LaserJet P2015. Monochrome laser jet printer. 250 sheet paper tray capacity. 1200 dpi. 27 pages per minute with 32 MB memory. Approximately $350.00.
