Academic/Instructional Lab Software Installation Request Process

Only software that is legally licensed and officially requested from TMCC faculty or staff is installed on TMCC academic computers.

Procedure: The procedures for requesting software to be installed on TMCC's academic computers for instructional use are available on the TMCC IT Academic Lab Software Requests Policy and Procedures Web page.

The Process

  1. Requester completes Software Installation Request form.
  2. Approver (Dean or Department Chair) receives request via email.
  3. Approver approves request.
  4. IT receives request via email for license verification.
  5. License on file/install media provided.
  6. Requester receives notification via email that the software request has been approved.

The requester will receive an email if the request has been denied by the approver, or if licensing has not been provided. The request must be re-submitted if a denial is received.
