Prospective Students

TMCC High School can take up to 200 juniors and seniors each year. The students are from every high school in Washoe County School District, private schools and charters schools. Students from Lyon, Carson and Douglas Counties may attend if their districts approve the attendance by signing an inter-county attendance agreement.

Admissions

As seniors graduate, approximately 120 new students are admitted during the spring and summer months. The earlier the student applies and is accepted, the greater the chance of enrolling in the most desirable college courses. Apply as early as February. Applications are accepted until mid-August. It takes about two weeks for an application to be processed and an orientation and registration session to take place.

Prospective students are invited to review this entire Web site to get sufficient information to determine interest and desire in starting college early at TMCC High School.

Prom and Graduation

TMCC High School's prom is on the Tahoe Queen–––a dinner, dance and sunset cruise on Lake Tahoe–––in May, each year. Graduation is a production on the stage of the Summit at Grand Sierra Resort and there are traditionally so many guests that the ceremony is standing room only.
