Stuff to take: Bri, Amy, Dan, Hunter, Alice: her leash and bowl, hiking boots, sleeping bags, etc., desert hat, water-lots, snacks: fruit, wheat thins, cheese, something sweet, maps: Nevada ghost towns/back roads; California redwoods, camera, Spanish stuff to study, books to read, notebook for poetry, thesaurus (ditto), various CDs (Don't forget Inkuyo, Richard Thompson, Tom Waits, Afro-Cuban All Stars, Nirvana and whatever else)
