The Perkins Grant funds Career and Technical Education through a variety of CTE awards for new and continuing programs at TMCC.
For FY13, the following programs received support through the Perkins Basic grant:
Equipment, Supplies, and Software
- Computer Radiography and Digital Radiography for the Radiologic Technology program
- Dynamometer chassis for the Diesel Technician and Automotive programs
- Printers and supplies for the Graphic Communication program
- Solar/Wind Trainer, Grid-Tied Trainer, student laptops, and PLC troubleshooting software for the Renewable Energy program
- E*Value student progress tracking software for the Nursing program
- Miscellaneous supplies and student support funding for the Re-Entry program
Travel
- Travel to Skills USA competitions for faculty mentors
- Travel for veterinary technician faculty to attend a continuing education course
