TMCCoffersa4-payand5-paypaymentplan toany
studentwhoowes$200ormoreofeligiblecharges
on theirstudentaccount (currentsemestercharges).
Theplandivides thebalance into fourorfiveequal
installmentsdependingonwhichoption isselected.
There isa$10 fee for thepaymentplan thatwillbeadded
toyourfirstbill.Yourenrollmentmaybecancelledor
late feesmaybecharged ifanypayment isnotmadeon
time.Please log in to

Credit,DebitCardandE-CheckPayments
Credit andDebitCard (Visa,Mastercard,Discoveror
AmericanExpress)payments ande-checkpayments
maybemadeonline. Log in to
and follow
the instructions carefully.Declinedcredit card
transactions are reversed from the student’s account,
leaving thebalancedueandpayable immediately.
Outstandingbalances are subject to theunpaid fees
anddelinquent accountspolicyandmay result ina
student beingdropped fromhis/her classes.

Personal checkpayments (notmadeonline) are
accepted.Make thecheckpayable to theBOARDOF
REGENTSandwrite the student’sNSHE IDnumber
on thecheck.TMCCassesses a$25collection feeon
returnedchecks.

Office in time tobeprocessedby theaforementioned

UnpaidFeesandDelinquentAccounts
All feesmust bepaidby theduedate.Anybalance
due that isnot coveredbyapaymentplanor awaiting
anticipatedaidmaybe subject toapenalty feeof
aminimumof $10up toamaximumof $100per
semester. If youoweanymoney to theNSHE, youare
ineligible to register for classes, receivea transcript,
diplomaor certificate, or enrollment verification
certificate.Delinquent accountsmaybe forwarded to
acollectionagency.
Federal/State/EmployerPaidPrograms
Youmust submit thepayment authorization from the
payingparty to theCashier’sOfficeonorbefore the
Fridayof theweekyou register.

Emphasis,Certificate
Students canprocess achangeofnamebybringing
legal documentation supporting thenamechange
to theAdmissions andRecordsoffice. Achangeof
address canbemadeon theWeb, in-personat the
Admissions andRecordsoffice, bymail orby fax
(775-673-7028). Tobeofficial, achangeofDegree,
EmphasisorCertificatemust be submitted to the
Admissions andRecordsoffice.
While it is critical that all studentskeep the
Admissions andRecordsofficeapprisedof any
changes, it is requiredof studentswho receive
federal financial aidorveterans’ benefits tokeep
name, address anddegree, emphasisor certificate
informationcurrent. Failure todo socouldaffect
eligibility for continuedbenefits. Changes indegree,
emphasisor certificatealsoaffect advisement and
coursecatalogchoice forgraduation. When the
Admissions andRecordsofficebecomes aware
of an incorrect address through returnedmail, a
registrationholdwill beplacedon the studentuntil
theaddress is corrected. ContactAdmissions and
Records to removeaddressholds.

Freshman
:A studentwhohas earned fewer than30
credits.
Sophomore
:A studentwhohas earned30 credits
ormore, but has not completedall courses and
requirements for anassociatedegree.
EnrollmentClassification
New student
:A studentwhohas never attendedan
institutionof higher education.
New transfer
:A studentwhohas not previously
attendedTMCCbut has attendedother institutions
of higher education.
Continuing student
:A studentwhohas previously
attendedTMCC.
