ASSOCIATEOFSCIENCE
The associateof science (AS) degree is designed for
studentswhoplan to transfer to a four-year college
or university for abaccalaureatedegree. Satisfactory
completion of thedegree guarantees fulfillment of
lower-division general education requirements atUNR,
UNLV, orNSC. Studentswho intend to transfer toother
institutions should consult an advisor or follow the
catalogof the transfer institution. Courseswith a “C”or
“D”designator or courseswith anumber less than100
arenot applicable toward either degree. CheckTMCC
coursedescriptions for transfer status to abaccalaureate
degreeof sciencewithin theuniversities in theNevada
SystemofHigherEducation (NSHE).
