The graphic communications (GRC) programoffers
classes that lead to an associatedegreeor a certificateof
achievement. Instruction includes theuseof industry
standardgraphics software, andGRC computer labs
are equippedwith the latestMacintosh computerswith
support scanners, printers, a sound recording facility
and a completeprepress/print shop facility.
Students completing thedegreewill:
• Identifyandapplyhistorical and current design theories and
concepts in theproductionof visually engagingmedia thatmeets
the requirements of thegraphic communications industry.
• Acquire abroad skill set in current graphics related technologies,
including computer software applications, processes andother
production techniquesused in thegraphic communications
industry.
• Developandassemble aportfolioofwork thatwill illustrate and
communicate their visual design skills at aprofessional level.
