MANUFACTURINGTECHNOLOGIESDEGREE–ASSOCIATEOFAPPLIEDSCIENCE
Drafting is a critical skill for adiversityof industries,
includingmanufacturing, engineering, construction and
architecture. Students in theTMCCdraftingprogram
developbothmanual and computerizeddrafting
skills, including standard two-dimensional drawings
and threedimensional solidmodeling.With anAAS
degree, drafters areprepared toworkwithdesigners
and engineers todevelopgraphic instructions used to
complete a varietyof projects.
DEGREEOUTCOMES
Students completing thedegreewill:
• Fulfill the requirements of theAssociateofAppliedScience.
• Demonstrate competency in their specified emphasis.
EMPHASISOUTCOMES
Students completing the emphasiswill:
• Understanddrafting conventions including symbols, linetypes,
lineweights, anddimension styles as applicable tomechanical
drawings.
• Create complexdrawings includingorthographicprojections,
pictorials,workingdrawings, anddevelopment drawings; and
preparedrawingdetails includingauxiliaryviews, sections,
tolerances, and surfacefinishes, allwithin specifications.
• Create complex3Dmodels to specificationsusingadvanced
commands.
