Paying for Your Higher Education

Are you unsure of how you’re going to budget for school and stay on top of your other financial responsibilities? Come to this free workshop to learn more about defining your wants versus needs, establishing financial priorities, and creating a budget! We’ll also provide other resources. How to Budget and Plan as a Student

Is this your first time in college? Are you returning to school after years of real life experience? When attending school, your finances must be in line with your goals and priorities. It can be tough knowing what will affect your budget. From lab fees and books to course fees and supplies, come to this workshop to get your mind right when it comes to understanding the financial realities of being a part-time or full time student. Picking a Degree that Pays for Itself

If you intend to immediately enter the workforce upon completing your college degree, this workshop is for you! For those students who aren’t quite sure what career path they would like to pursue, this workshop will give you data on job placement numbers and the success rate of certain degrees and certificate programs offered by TMCC. We’ll help you calculate what you need to earn as a salary when you graduate to meet your expenses, especially if those expenses include student loan debt. This workshop describes how we create habits and how those habits can be changed. Then we connect habits to spending to show you how you can break bad habits and form new ones!
