Paying for Your Higher Education

Are you unsure of how you’re going to budget for school and stay on top of your other financial responsibilities? Come to this free workshop to learn more about defining your wants versus needs, establishing financial priorities, and creating a budget! We’ll also provide other resources. This workshop is presented to you by the Financial Literacy and Money Education by Students, or FLAMES through a grant from USAFunds.

FAFSA Fridays!

Do you need help filling out your FAFSA online? Are you unsure if you even qualify? Do you want to know more about the FAFSA? This workshop is for you! Our FLAMES student peer mentors will be on site to describe the process and provide you with one-on-one assistance should you wish to complete the FAFSA on line during the workshop. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a free application; just like this workshop! How to Budget and Plan as a Student

Is this your first time in college? Are you returning to school after years of real life experience? When attending school, your finances must be in line with your goals and priorities. It can be tough knowing what will affect your budget. From lab fees and books to course fees and supplies, come to this workshop to get your mind right when it comes to understanding the financial realities of being a part-time or full time student. Choosing a Degree that Pays for Itself

If you intend to immediately enter the workforce upon completing your college degree, this workshop is for you! For those students who aren’t quite sure what career path they would like to pursue, this workshop will give you data on job placement numbers and the success rate of certain degrees and certificate programs offered by TMCC. We’ll help you calculate what you need to earn as a salary when you graduate to meet your expenses, especially if those expenses include student loan debt.
