Scholarship Application

Agency/Off-campus Scholarships
There are many students who have been awarded a scholarship from an outside agency and want to apply their award to their costs of attending TMCC. The donor must contact the Financial Aid Office. It is the student's responsibility to coordinate the disbursement process between the donor and the college. In order to ensure adequate time for payment of fees, funds must arrive six weeks prior to the start of each term.

Tribal Scholarships
Scholarships for eligible Native Americans and offered through the individual tribes. Students initiate the application process by contacting their respective tribal office.

Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation and Financial Aid scholarships
Designed to award achievement and encourage academic excellence. Scholarship awards are based on many factors: scholastic merit, college and community service, life circumstances, financial need and major field of study. Scholarship awards may vary in amount, but can range up to $2,000 or more per academic year.

As a current or prospective TMCC student, you are eligible to apply for scholarships. The two offices responsible for the advertising and awarding of scholarships are the TMCC Financial Aid Office and the TMCC Foundation Office.

In addition, many outside scholarships are posted on the Online Scholarship Board. Check the board frequently as new scholarships are posted throughout the year.
