In addition to the general scholarship application, TMCC offers many scholarships specific to a variety of programs. The college also periodically receives information about scholarships from outside agencies.

Scholarship Name: Foundation of Science and Disability Scholarship Program
Agency: Foundation for Science and Disability
Description: The Foundation for Science and Disability (FSD) was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1975. Its purpose is to promote the integration of persons with disabilities into the mainstream of the scientific community. A major focus of FSD has been the removal of barriers that restrict opportunities to develop careers and conduct scientific research. Scientists and students with disabilities are eager to participate in their professional fields and make contributions that benefit science and society. In support of these goals, FSD has served as an informational resource and has cooperated in efforts to: 1. Develop increased employment opportunities and improve work environments for persons with disabilities in science, engineering, mathematics and technology. 2. Plan, organize, and administer educational programs that enable interested youth, college students, and pre professionals with disabilities to develop skills needed for careers in scientific and technical fields. 3. Plan, organize, and administer programs concerned with technology transfer to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
Qualifications: Copy of Official college transcripts, A letter from your research or academic advisor in support of your request, A second letter from another faculty member, and proof of United States citizenship (passport, birth certificate, etc).
