FastTrack Online Degree Program

In anticipation of a greater demand from local residents looking to improve their work skills and job/career opportunities, Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) has launched the WebCollege FastTrack Online Degree Program. The program targets students from several different backgrounds including working students seeking career advancement or career change, the unemployed, those who have served in the military. In response to this need, TMCC is offering these students a student-centered/student-motivated opportunity to earn an associate degree in two years or less.

The program offers the following key features:

• Course work leading to the following associate degrees (Note: not all energy technology classes offered fully online):
       Law Enforcement Emphasis, Criminal Justice (AAS)
       Business (AAS)
       Solar Energy Emphasis, Energy Technologies (AAS)
       Wind Energy Emphasis, Energy Technologies (AAS)
       Geothermal Energy Emphasis, Energy Technologies (AAS)
• Classes will be offered every five weeks (some energy tech classes will be longer); students will normally take one class at a time. There will also be an option to truly "fast track" taking two classes every five weeks to complete an associate degree in one year.
• Seamless transfer to Nevada State College (NSC) for students motivated to complete their four-year degree online.
• Cost of tuition considerably less than comparable five week courses offered by private colleges and universities.
• Financial aid and scholarships will be available depending on eligibility.
• Online courses are available 24/7 with a complete array of student services all done online.
• Courses designed to national standards, include a more personal level of interaction and support, and are offered online to improve flexibility and access for students.
