Duties and Responsibilities
- To review annually the criteria used to accept courses that satisfy General Education requirements.
- To review and assess periodically courses previously approved as satisfying General Education requirements, and recommend changes to the existing offerings based on the review/assessment.
- To recommend policies for General Education on topics including but not limited to requirements, criteria, forms, assessment, and format.
- To review and revise the General Education section of the catalog to meet current policies and procedures as defined for General Education.
- To publish and review annually a guide to General Education requirements and procedures.
- To meet a minimum of three times each semester to consider policies, assessment and approval of courses.
- To review and make recommendations on other topics as assigned by the Faculty Senate Chair with approval of the Executive Board.
- To forward to the Senate Chair, by the last meeting in May, the name of the person they recommend as Committee Chair for the following year.
