Form Due Dates

Curriculum submissions are due no later than 5 p.m. the Friday preceding the meeting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To recommend for approval new courses, changes to existing courses, new degree programs, changes to degree programs, new certificate programs, and changes to certificate programs from proposals submitted to the committee for the College.
• To recommend criteria and policies for scheduling courses in all divisions of the College.
• To annually review General Education curriculum requirements for the AA, AAS, and AGS.
• To communicate with the articulation officer of the College, the Admissions and Records Office, and the Academic Standards Committee in order to coordinate curricula.
• The committee will meet a minimum of four times each semester to consider proposals.
• To review and make recommendations on other topics as assigned by the Faculty Senate Chairperson with the approval of the Executive Board.
• To publish and annually review, together with Academic Standards Committee, a Guide to Curriculum and Program Development Procedures.
• The committee shall forward to the Senate Chair by the last meeting in May the name of the person they recommend as committee chair for the following year.
