Heartsaver CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
Note: This workshop is typically conducted for groups at their work site.
The course will prepare participants who:
- May need to perform CPR in the workplace;
- May need to use an automated external defibrillator (AED);
- May need to help someone who is choking;
- Want or need a course completion card;
This type of class should be provided for the workplace that has an automated external defibrillator (AED) on site. The course teaches adult CPR, choking, and use of the AED. However, the course can include infant and child CPR as well.
The class is designed and taught by the guidelines of the American Heart Association and upon successful completion, an AHA card for Heartsaver AED will be given to participants; this card is good for a two year period.
Course Cost: $35 for adult/child CPR, choking and AED; $40 for adult CPR/child CPR, choking, AED and infants. The price of the class includes the textbook.
Course Time: The class is approximately three to four hours, depending upon the modules taught.
