Selection Process
The program will establish an interest list and will notify applicants of the testing date. We highly recommend that anyone desiring entrance into the paramedic program have previous EMS field experience and completed a college-level anatomy and physiology course. All candidates must pass a back ground check through Pre-Check prior to enrollment in classes.
TMCC will conduct testing from the interest list to fill vacancies within the program. The testing process will consist of:
- A Written examination covering EMT-Basic.
- An online HESI Test.
- A BLS Skills Evaluation.
- A Competitive communications assessment (oral interview)
A list will be generated from these tests. Admission into the program will be based upon test score ranking. Class size is limited to 24 students a year.
Post Acceptance
Once accepted into the program, you must provide proof of the following:
- Satisfy all general college admission requirements
