Student E-mail
E-mail for Students
As of May 19, 2009, TMCC has contracted with Google to provide e-mail accounts to all students. Google Mail, known as Gmail, offers feature-rich e-mail and applications. All TMCC electronic communications will be sent to the new TMCC student Gmail e-mail addresses.
Current Students
You may use your existing e-mail username and password to access your Gmail account. In addition, you may still access your old account. Electronic communications from the college, including GradeBook, will be sent to the Gmail address. We suggest you set your old account to forward to your new Gmail account.
New Students
If you are a new student who enrolled after May 19, you should receive your Gmail account information in your letter of acceptance to TMCC.
Getting Help
We have expanded our help services to include assistance through an online self-service option. Calling the student help support line at the toll-free number 775-674-7576 will continue to be a support option.
Things to Know
- Your new student e-mail address can be identified as, username@mail.tmcc.edu, where "username" is custom to you, and noted in your letter of acceptance.
- Your e-mail username is used to log in to MyTMCC.
- You may forward e-mail from your old account to your new Gmail account.
Benefits
Google offers many benefits, including more storage space, mobile access and spam blockers. View more information on the benefits of Gmail accounts. Please note that other Google services are not controlled or monitored by TMCC.
Your TMCC e-mail account allows you to send/receive e-mail using your TMCC account, use the TMCC wireless network and log on to TMCC computers in classrooms and labs.
