Diversity Essay Contest — 2008

As part of the Multicultural Festival celebration, the TMCC Equity and Diversity Office, TMCC President's Office, TMCC Foundation and Northern Nevada Human Resources Association are sponsoring an essay contest. The contest is open to all TMCC students and all Washoe County high school seniors.

Start Date and Instructions

We will start accepting entries Jan. 21, 2008. For more information and instructions, please consult the essay contest guidelines .

Deadline

The deadline is March 7, 2008, 5 p.m.

Theme

The theme of the essay contest for this year is "Diversity: What It Means to a Student's Success."

Awards

Awards will be announced and presented at the annual Multicultural Festival held at TMCC's Dandini Campus on Saturday, April 19, 2008.

High School Seniors

• 1st Place - $500 TMCC grant-in-aid
• 2nd Place - $300 TMCC grant-in-aid
• 3rd Place - $250 TMCC grant-in-aid
• Honorable Mention - Tuition waiver for one TMCC class (3 credits)

TMCC Students

• 1st Place - $500 TMCC grant-in-aid
• 2nd Place - $300 TMCC grant-in-aid
• 3rd Place - $250 TMCC grant-in-aid
• Honorable Mention - Tuition waiver for one TMCC class (3 credits)
