CTE College Credit

CTE College Credit Program

(Formerly College Tech Prep)

If you are a high school student, you can earn free TMCC college credit for your high school CTE elective classes!

About the Program

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) College Credit Program (formerly College Tech Prep) allows you to earn college credit while taking approved classes while still in high school. The approved classes are high school classes taught by high school teachers in your own high school. Earning college credit while in high school gives you a head start to an associate degree, certificate of achievement, skills certificate, industry credential, military service or employment!

The CTE College Credit Program is funded by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 in cooperation with Truckee Meadows Community College and the Nevada Department of Education.
