LandscapeArchitectureDegree
Associate of Arts
The student will gain the needed skills to continue education
in a professional program of landscape architecture at the
university level. Also, provide for entry-level positions in
landscape architectural, architectural, multidisciplinary,
construction and design/build firms. This degree satisfies the
educational requirement of the Nevada State Board of Landscape
Architecture to sit for the national examination, after completing
the internship and experience requirement.
DegreeOutcomes
Students completing the degreewill:
• Possess a basic knowledge of landscape architecture design
theory as it relates to space, form and context as it pertains to
the practice of landscape architecture.
• Gain the ability to prepare basic landscape architecture
presentations demonstrating design and construction
knowledge.
• Synthesize course knowledge and skills at a level that will
enable them to continue into an accredited landscape
architecture program in third-year status.
