Associate of General Studies
The Associate of General Studies Arts (AGS) degree at TMCC
is designed as a non-transfer degree for students who desire a
well-rounded education for personal interest or further academic
and/or career goals.
Student learning outcomes for the Associate of General Studies
degree are determined by the student’s chosen academic and/or
career emphases.

Developmental courses (numbered less than 100) cannot be
applied to any degree or certificate.
Credits earned in manyWDCE “C” courses may be considered
nontraditional and must be approved by the vice president for
academic affairs and student services in order to be applied
to the associate of general studies degree. Please check with
a TMCC advisor for further information. TheWDCE “C” courses
may not be counted for financial aid credit requirements.
